Come hang out with other local ukulele enthusiasts in BUG, the Bellingham Ukulele Group. Can't play? Come learn! Played for 15 years? Come teach others a thing or two! For more info on the BUG, contact Aryn Whitewolf at (360)366-5660 or ukuleidy@aol.com
The BUG meets from September through May on the first Saturday of each month from 11:30am-1:30pm (notice the time change) downstairs in the social hall at the Bellingham Unitarian Church, 1708 I St., Bellingham (click for a Google Map).
Our next meeting is on December 12 (the rare 2nd Saturday) and is a landmark 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY for our club. We will be playing Holiday songs (don't worry, we'll have music for you) and take some time to socialize a bit more than usual. The kitchen we normally have access to is not available right now, but do feel free to bring easy to eat snacks or dishes. Bring your own serving utensils. We will have paper plates and plastic utensils.
Please come join us for some fun! Bring your ukes, your organized music, your enthusiasm, and your "ukulele curious" friends. We will continue to refine our new format to meet the needs of all our club members.
Ukulele Event Info:
Ravyn is back from Africa and reports that the ukuleles we sent over with her for the children of Western Heratage Home in Axim, Ghana were received with much joy. It seems we have a few enthusiastic budding ukulele players in Africa now.
Pat and Gail are in Guatemala at present establishing an after school ukulele music program. From all I've seen of the BLOG it is a huge success.
If you have a ukulele you are not using that you would like to donate to our "Ukes For Kids" project, or if you would like to make a monetary donation contact me at ukuleidy@aol.com.
Playing Opportunities: If you are interested in playing with others during the month? Come to a meeting and meet lots of folks who are ready, willing, and able to share uke time with others.
